Individual Classes

I love teaching and being able to develop my students’ language skills and performance. I am a very outgoing person, and I relate to others easily. My teaching approach is very informal, as I want you to feel comfortable and free to express your individuality. I begin by listening to your interests and the goals you want to obtain with the classes. I then tailor a study program that to suit your needs. I plan the topics ahead for all my lessons so you are able to follow a development path that provides you with knowledge and skills during each lesson. I will also assign homework so that we may revise together at our following meeting.

I adapt to the student's needs, and I am always open to discuss and modify the program. I am a patient tutor; I want you to feel comfortable and free to learn the language in the way that suits you best while making it fun and interesting!

Because I am fluent in Spanish and English, I can explain complicated Spanish concepts to you in English, which expedites your learning.

I teach with a Spanish grammar book that you can follow at home so that you may reach your learning objectives faster.

Whether you are looking for proper international Spanish or a colloquial dialect, I can teach you both! Whether you have some basic Spanish knowledge or none at all, I welcome students of all levels.

Typical lesson plans offered consist of

  • Natural conversation

  • Grammar

  • Vocabulary

  • Pronunciation

  • Phonetics, Sentence

  • construction and phrasing

 Group Classes

Group Spanish classes are ideal for those interested in making new friends and building a community around people wishing to learn Spanish. Unlike other Spanish classes or language schools, with us, the group dictates the direction of the lesson and future classes. These classes are designed to be collaborative so the entire group benefits.

I host group Spanish classes that lead to conversations and the desire to learn more about Latin culture and history. The idea is to have the group more comfortable with learning Spanish so that it can be used in real-world conversations.

Students who participate in group Spanish classes come from different walks of life and professional backgrounds, but they all have a desire to learn and speak Spanish. This makes learning Spanish more fun and comfortable. For people who are outgoing or interested in meeting new people, the group Spanish classes are the perfect way to learn Spanish.

For those of you who do not enjoy learning in a classroom or prefer to consume new information at your own pace, an individual class is probably more suitable.

”ZOOM” Classes

Learning via online is very easy. You just need an Internet connection and the Zoom app installed on your computer. You can learn Spanish wherever and whenever you want! From the comfort of your own home, office or anywhere else you choose. Classes are available one-to-one and are tailor-made based on your level, needs and interests. Lesson package rates are available (12 lessons).

My method of teaching Spanish is really effective because:

I provide you with drills that I have created, which will help you to quickly ask and answer questions.

My classes focus on speaking. Whether through situational dialogues I've collected through the years, the use of drills and exercises, or with conversations that we improvise in the moment, you will be speaking a lot. That's how you know you will be able to speak Spanish outside of class, because you've been practicing conversations in class from day one.

Though I focus on conversation, I also teach grammar. Grammar takes out the random element of learning a language. Why? Because grammar rules are the multiplication tables and formulas that will exponentialize your learning. Otherwise, learning a language is like doing multiplication by using your fingers. It will take you a long time to learn the basics of speaking a language without appropriate grammar lessons. At the very least, grammar helps you understand how English and Spanish are different, so that you don't get confused with tricky word order. After 14 years of teaching Spanish, I know grammar rules by heart. I can teach them at the same time as we are practicing the drills, while conversing with you in Spanish!!
